Seymour Marine Discovery Center Blue Innovation Event
Sunday UCSC Seymour Marine Discovery Center is hosting an event highlighting the importance and ways to improve ocean and water sustainability. The event will have exhibits from companies, artists, small businesses, non-profits, and researchers.
The event will also have a free raffle, food trucks, live bands, tours, scavenger hunts, fun hands on activities for all ages, and information on the latest technologies, research, and programs for supporting our blue planet.
Downtown Santa Cruz Harvest Festival
Santa Cruz Downtown Harvest Festival is scheduled for Saturday a will have Carnival Games, Face Painting, Food Vendors, Live Music, and much more…this event should be a lot of fun for the family and is a great option to get outside and enjoy some of this amazing weather we are having.
First Friday - Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History
October First Friday Event at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, the museum has a new exhibit “Out of this World: Looking to the Stars. You can stop by the museum with free admission from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be several Community Groups and Vendors outside the museum from 5-8.
Younger Lagoon Reserve Tour
Come and see what scientists are doing to track local mammals, restore native habitats, and learn about the workings of one of California’s rare coastal lagoons. Younger Lagoon tours are free and open to the public. Space is limited to 18 participants. Elkhorn Slough Open House
The Elkhorn Slough is a great space to take an easy hike with 5 miles of trails, there are ample opportunities to view a variety of birds and even the occasional sea otter. They will be hosting an open house this weekend which will include guided hikes, activities for kids, a native plant fair, and food trucks, see the below link for additional information.

Evening Fishing Clinics
Discover the joys of fishing at our evening clinic from 07/22 to 07/26, running from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Learn all about surf perch, striper, and halibut tactics.
